Keystone NAP Sees Strong Growth Momentum at its Advanced Data Center Facility with New Customer Wins

Fairless Hills, PA. (March 7, 2016)Keystone NAP, the company responsible for launching the first advanced data center in the Northeast, today announced strong momentum fueled by a fast-growing roster of enterprise customers, expanded executive team and the completion of a $15 million senior debt facility with White Oak Global Advisors. Keystone NAP will utilize the proceeds to complete the purchase of its property from the US Steel Corporation and the remainder to continue its market expansion and growth. Keystone NAP is part of an elite category of facilities combining extreme power durability, secure network connectivity and the multi-tenant data center services with managed cloud services required by today’s enterprises and modern application architectures.

“We are enabling a flight to quality as enterprises and service providers are vacating antiquated facilities and leveraging our advanced data center campus capable of providing sophisticated hybrid cloud IT services beyond smart colocation,” explained Shawn Carey, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Keystone NAP. “We are pleased to welcome our new customers to our advanced data center facility.”

Keystone NAP’s new customers include:

  • Aria Health, which recently announced a merger with Thomas Jefferson University, is the largest healthcare provider in Northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County, PA with three leading community hospitals and a strong network of scores of outpatient centers and primary care physicians. Aria Health chose Keystone NAP to successfully deploy a business continuity (BC) solution for its mission-critical x86 applications. The solution includes colocation services along with Keystone NAP’s managed virtual disaster recovery (DR) platform for x86-based applications and will include IBM PureFlex mid-range services.  Aria Health is also leveraging Keystone NAP for IP network and bandwidth services to its main hospital properties.  “We were very impressed with the Keystone NAP team which had our applications protected in under 30 days, delivering as promised,” said Mr. Tom Nateloni, Director of Infrastructure for Aria Health.
  • Keystone NAP was selected by a leading financial services firm headquartered in New Jersey. Following a critical outage at an incumbent data center, the customer chose Keystone NAP for its secure KeyBlock™ vault architecture and sophisticated network services offering. What drew the customer to Keystone NAP was its capacity, several fully redundant power feeds, connections to multiple network backbones, as well as the self-contained, stackable data center vaults. The deployment included connecting nine offices across several states over a modern wide area fiber network to business systems hosted at Keystone NAP and providing services of a secondary BC/DR data center. Keystone NAP designed the network, managed the cutover and now manages the entire network.
  • Comcast Business and Sunesys have both expanded their strategic relationships with Keystone NAP. The two network connectivity partners deliver dedicated bandwidth to Keystone NAP customers through independent dual feeds entering the facility from opposite sides of the campus. Comcast and Sunesys have now both taken space at Keystone NAP where they will each deliver network services to customers within the data center facility and beyond.
  • Two managed services companies have expanded their respective footprints into Keystone NAP. Xtium, a leading x86 managed cloud hosting, online backup and virtual disaster recovery services company, has selected Keystone NAP as its third data center location that will house its cloud infrastructure. Secure Infrastructure & Services (SIAS), a leading provider of mid-range IBM cloud computing solutions, has chosen Keystone NAP as its third data center location, offering AS/400, I-Series and P-Series IaaS, leveraging IBM’s PureFlex platform to deliver cloud-like economics and flexibility.

Keystone NAP has also strengthened its executive team with the addition of two industry veterans, Doug Hughes and Jack Gesualdi. Doug has joined the engineering and service delivery team from New York City-based D. E. Shaw Research, where he led the systems team. He was previously a Principal Engineer at Global Crossing, where he managed the infrastructure for the global IP backbone. Jack Gesualdi has joined the sales team from Distributed Systems Services, Inc. (DSS), a Reading, PA-based IT solutions provider, where he led data center sales. Prior to DSS, Mr. Gesualdi held various sales roles at IBM.
