Philadelphia, January 8, 2019 – Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) announced today, noted author and technologist, Todd Hewlin will serve as the keynote speaker at Phorum 2019: Becoming a Digital Disruptor – Re-imagining Technology, Experiences, and Talent.
Additionally, PACT announced it is now accepting applications for the Phorum 2019 Demo Pit. Phorum 2019 will be held on April 4, 2019 at the SugarHouse Casino Events Center.
Hosted by PACT and sponsored by Fairmount Partners and LiquidHub, Phorum 2019 will explore the perspectives of both attackers and incumbents across three key themes: emerging technology, hyper-personalized experiences, and digital and AI talent, that will define which companies win the digital disruption game.

The Demo Pit was created to allow startups to connect with C-level enterprise decision makers attending Phorum. In addition to showcasing their technology in the Demo Pit, each participant will present their company on the main stage to a panel of judges and the Phorum audience. The deadline to submit an application is February 15, 2019. Since the inaugural event, past winners have gone on to raise more than $50M in capital, with three of the eight successfully completing exits to strategic acquirers. Slyce was recognized with the Phorum Phorward award and the People’s Choice award at Phorum 2018.
Todd Hewlin is a Managing Director at TCG Advisors, the leading growth consulting strategy firm in Silicon Valley, and a noted expert on digitization and business model innovation. He is co-author of the books, Consumption Economics and B4B, as well as several articles in Harvard Business Review, Wired, McKinsey Quarterly, and Knowledge@Wharton. His next book, Goliath’s Revenge: How Established Companies Turn the Tables on Digital Disruptors is due out in February 2019.
